Sylvia Garland- artistA Story by Rogerssart critique of original oil painting on canvas 25x25inches
Sylvia , I think, was disappointed with the painting she sold me cheap. I had an art scam going in the mall (I plead the fifth) and she had come up from Bisbe, was curious, I have charm and the Magician's Garden is mine. I named it it's mine.
Magician's Garden floors visitors. I have a busy living room, and have you ever looked at neighborhood trees and one stands out - King Tree-that is Magician's Garden. The reason, I think, Sylvia was disappointed in it is it is globby. Her later stuff is smoother yet thick paint. My magician is a maybe maybe but here is where words fail art - I can't do colors. He has a turquoise and orange headpiece, conjures pink dragons. The Magician's Garden grows cream snake lollies ; in the background lurks a fiery shaman ; in the distance , in the dark wet tones of color violet pink where you want to go, a woman with a dragon head. Magician's Garden is an abstract painting , predominantly red. You very well might have called it, Ratha Tatra day at the Beach in Puri. © 2020 Rogerss |
