I guess this is not really poetry, I just don't know what genre it would be.

"

YMCA

 

 



This may be an old song…

ok so some of us just aged ourselves.

 

But the message still say’s the same thing.

 

If you think the world has beaten you down,

thrown you aside,

and you think no one cares…

 

Just look around and you will see,

there are those that will help,

when your down and out.

 

Just remember we are all in this together,

so look at the one next to you and…

shake their hand,

give them a hug,

give them that roll on your plate,

or just listen.

 

Sometimes just having a good ear,

is worth more than anything,

the government can do.

 

But whatever you do,

do right by your brothers and sisters.

 

We might not be related by blood,

but we all have the same blood.
