Sweet surrender: elegy of bruised love

Sweet surrender: elegy of bruised love

A Poem by Ru Banerjee
"

Elegy of bruised, painful, but a serene and poignant love that prays to be resurrected in pain...yet again.

"

Sweet, sweet surrender--
there are scars upon my heart when I come back to your arms
You like to prick them, stand still, and admire my integrity..
That you know for sure,
Sweet is the flower that rests on the thorns!

In darkest waters do I sleep--
The sweaty jostle of clumsy streets around me,
Come to me with your scarlet lips and crimson wrists,
Together let us weep crystal tears burried in shadows deep--

Your heart be the candlelight--your soul be the gold--
That chains my life with unspoken sins galore;
So let me bleed, and not restore till you are with me,
Sweet, sweet surrender---

Here do I come to seek the spring
In the luscious, flowing rivers of your arms--
Arms that resist to heal--
Fruits of much grief they are, surely emblems of more,
Together we have died and bled of love, today we know how they feel.
Sweet, sweet surrender--

Come, let us melt in deep, turquoise lakes and azure skies, and make no noise,
Pass away quietly in lullabies of our slumber--
The inferno of our pain will wander in the winds,
carrying secret breaths resting in shades of amber...
Sweet, sweet surrender---

I think of mistakes and redemption lying in their graves
And we, with our pains, are thoroughly blest
In those tombs of the yesteryears-lie the greatest ashes of our shared wounds,
So let us die and rise the same--for yet another resurrection of pain...

this poem is defined by its beautiful, dreamy, celestial wave of wonder,
i admire the way you are able to transport the reader to another place
and time with such grace the heart cant help but fall oveer the edge
of surrender, its a romantic interlude, where melody flows through the soul.
the images are subtlely ascending, a glorious portraiy of the night
where love creates a wake of desire. this is so vast and magnificent Ru :)

"I think of mistakes and redemption lying in their graves
And we, with our pains, are thoroughly blest" Ah! Now this is as poetic as someone can get. I loved the flow of this piece. There is a very strange emotion of letting go and composing with your strength and the constant fight regarding amalgamation of both here. Loved this piece. Very strong and poignant!

extraordinary beauty breathes even with pain drawn with the inhale throughout this heartbeat poem of intricate design that conveys not just surface of emotion but gently wraps around the reader's heart and pulls it deeper into intimate waters of emotions~

Such strength in this poem. The words "Sweet, sweet surrender." made the poem have life and great purpose. The last line I did like. I wonder will we rise and find peace or more chaos? A outstanding poem.

So moving and emotional, full of loves depth and richness and pain... Love your use of color to express the tones and feeling of your love:

"carrying secret breaths resting in shades of amber..."

So powerful to seek love even through dark waters!!!
