Good-Bye

Good-Bye

A Poem by Rosauro Brillantes
"

...Another break up poem

"
Hasn't been a second yet
And our lives has flashed before my eyes
It's been many days and I haven't slept
Ever since we said our good-byes

I can't stand to see you walk away
The silhouette of your back becomes small
Until you come back, I can only count the days
To see if you'll ever love me at all

Girl I won't always be there for you
As much as I wish that I could
But if you really believe that we are through
Then babe, it's okay, it's all understood

Can I just say I miss the warmth of your skin
And also the perfume that you use
My heart is dying and my blood's turned thin
Guess that's what happens to you when you lose

You'll have to tell me if I ever gained
Losing you is like a huge drop in stocks
I loved you too much till heart attack
Till sparks froze and turned to an icebox

Something inside has just become all eternal
My love is there, not always convenient
However you'll only last in this journal
Time towards us can only be so lenient
