The Clandestine

The Clandestine

A Poem by Rounak Jain

That overnight yearning
Praying for the onset of dawn
That sight of my moon
The togetherness.

Your peace bringing smile,
That emerging of dimples.
Forgetting everything else.
That craziness.

Those dark sparkling eyes,
Calm as an ocean.
Warm with affection.
The captivity.

That soothing presence.
My endless talking,
Your tireless listening.
The solace.

The aimless wandering around
walking hand in hand.
The velvet touch.
That passion.

The timely silence,
Your mellifluous humming,
That favorite song.
The hypnotism.

The dusk and the moonlight,
Bringing me back to reality.
The time to let you go.
The disparity.

That heavy heart,
The numbing heartbeat.
Cursing the time.
The unbearable agony.

Living a life in that one day,
Waiting for another life everyday.

Remembering that place,
Remembering that time.
Missing that beautiful soul,
Missing the clandestine.

Of all the poems i have read of yours this one is by far the best.(technically speaking) .The rhyme, apt usage of vocabulary, coining of phrases.Everything is good. But as we all are poets here it would be good ig you drop that usage of "u" and use "you" instead.Thank you for visiting my page :)
