That which is bred deep within our bones and calls to us until we return. I've recently returned to the home of my birth and it is good to be surrounded by all that I know. In my little village the only thing that has changed is the technology. This is such a great write, Rubie. Thanks for sharing!

So glad you could relate to this on a personal level.
Thanks for your kind review
Oh bravo Rubie! I love this write. ( and I’ve returned recently reawakened to my ancestral lineage as a nomad
on the path to evermore) As I age I find myself needing to return to my heritage and it is at times a feeling of urgency...that I MUST return. That is also what your beautiful poem brought to me. Thank you. ~Sharon

A journey we feel it with you deep in our bones. The yearning to return to our roots, finding where we belong, where our voice sings the most beautiful chant of love and acceptance.
great one! :D
Rubie, this is very, very good. It has a wonderful ancient feel about it. I love the references to primordial music, bone deep chants, and ancestral lineage. It made me think of the ancient celtic tribes. Very nice!

I think we all have that ancient voice deep within our souls. We need to listen to it.
i am hearing Led Zeppelin in the background singing "battle of evermore"
oh no, oh no, oh no....
that lineage, that heritage that we go back to...what we honor...finding our way out of the wilderness...i think of the 60's here...but i also think of my grandfather---and how recently with my book...that people keep asking about the pen name, and i tell them the story of my grandfather being an orphan from Sicily and how when naturalized they changed his name from cilberto to something else to make it easier for him...but how cilberto is really my heritage...and how i wanted to honor that...
the more we age the more we awaken even as we grow toward death.
fantastic write...you are just pouring out such good stuff...
i am eagerly awaiting your book....it will be jammed full of precious poetry.
