Untouched

Untouched

A Poem by Runo N. Savel
"

Maybe then my skin would not be untouched...

"

Sitting alone under the night sky

The breeze caressing my untouched skin

Giving me comfort I know from no man

I see my footsteps that lead to this bench

How I wish they weren’t of my feet alone

Left with but the image of solitude

My feet alone hath journeyed to this bench

My hands made the voyage held by no one

I wish he could see how lonely I am

Maybe then he would lend his hand to me

Maybe then my skin would not be untouched

And my feet not left to wander alone

But you can’t know the wishes of my heart

For I know they’re not the wishes of yours
