purple blanket

purple blanket

A Poem by russ

As the last lingering glimmers of day slowly sink and fade away,
in a bright and fiery glowing display of colors seldom seen,
Before the darkness takes its hold and plunges us to depths untold,
of black and gray and chilling cold ruled by a white and icy Queen,
There is a moment that I love when colors paint the sky above,
and the world all round is covered by a purple blanket.
I take a second, soak it in, let it caress and kiss my skin,
The Sun the Sky the Earth and Wind, I love and praise and thank it
