Play the good Wife

Play the good Wife

A Poem by Bewitching Sensations
"

weve grown apart why? wrote a few year ago now we have since parted

"

What is marriage? Not a fairy tale

First years are explosive,

You are thee queen!,

Then it takes a deeper level

We are supposed to be soul mates

Think as one, my protector, my lover

Laugh together, friendship,

My knight in shining armour

Surely that is the deeper level

Or maybe not, things twisted

You aren’t my protector,

Neither are you my lover

I lay beside a wall at night

Sex not make love, why?

I do the right thing always

Play the good wife, so alone

Is this life, married 21 years

Is this the rest of my life?

Maybe things will change

We have nothing in common

Religion stands between us

Vast vast differences

Now our children have grown

Teenagers, what now?

Something is holding us together

You was my childhood sweetheart

I was 14, engaged 16, married 17

Have we just grown up? Apart?
