LOOKING FOR SYMETRY

There was a man who would only accept endings.  He declared:

I’ll read the last page of the book

I’ll watch the last two-minutes of the football game

I’ll watch the last lap of the race

I’ll listen the last movement of the symphony.

I’ll attend funerals

“After all, he said, “what does the rest matter if you’re there to see the end.”

He was fixed up one day with a woman who would only accept beginnings.  She declared:

I’ll read the first stanza of a poem

I’ll watch the first scene of a play

I’ll watch the sun rise

I’ll eat only the appetizer

I’ll attend weddings

“My point,” she said, “is that I like the excitement of the beginning of something and leave the rest to the imagination.”

Would their children like? Only the middle of things?

This is an interesting idea. I'd personally hate both of those people because I need entirety for everything.
