no there's no knowin'

no there's no knowin'

A Poem by scribe?

no you'll never know who you can trust
'til all the ones you can't are all down in hell
from those, the ones you did
throw their heads back and laugh big hearty laughs
and you'll never know who to trust
'till all those you could
wear halos as crowns
and from those, all you didn't
shake their heads and turn their backs
on your old lonely bones
no you can't know who to trust
here on the ground
that's why the best place for things
is in some old beat up clothes
so old they've become part of your soul
and there they will stay
until armageddon, apocalypse, old judgement day
the day when all souls
living or dead
will be laid bare anyway
no you'll never know who to trust
until they're all underground
and you'll say
she was a good one
and he was a bad
no there's no knowin'
who's got the devil in 'em
and who's been touched by the hand of god
