Mid October

Mid October

A Poem by Saaski
"

I like fall.

"

It's mid-october.
I'm wearing that scarf I made

and those green shoes I always wear.
Standing at the edge of the forest,

a breeze brushes past

and I pull your coat closer around me.
Looking foward, I can see that fallen log

where I used to sit

and think of you.

And I can't help but smile.

I think it transitions weirdly. And no, it's not about someone who died.

I didn't think it was about someone who died, I thought of it as someone recalling a fond memory. Since autumn is my favorite season I was hoping to read a mention about the forest ablaze with the colors of fall ....

I like it. Great read/write!

This leads much for the reader to wonder about, an it was truly brilliant. I think your portray this moment beautifully. Well done!

Fall happens to be my favorite season!

I don't think it sounded as if you were writing about someone who had passed away. I actually pictured a girl, remembering what it was like before the crush turned into reality.

Well done. :]

Always,

hey
i really like this. keep the awkward transitions. they add something personal, like your actual train of thought in this moment.
