A Dawn of New Thought

A Dawn of New Thought

A Poem by Sabbath_Nikole

The sun’s rays had yet to finger the furthest

Edges of the sky

Just as a young mind

Has yet to open itself up

To the vast amount

Of limits, of boundary’s

It is a cold edge

And unsure piece of sky

Alone

One has yet to see

The light of your face

To be released from the chains

Of the mind

Freed from cold darkness

As lonely as the sky

To feel the warmth upon

One’s breast

To light thine eyes

To awaken a dawn

Of new thought
