Marked

Marked

A Poem by Sabbath_Nikole

Your Mark

Forever etched withing my skin

Forget you not?

Tis impossiable

With the memory of your lips,

    Burning into mine

Your cool touch,

  Easing my feverish brow

For get you?

  Never.

My heart's entertwined fatally

  With your own

I fear my heart

  It's flown

    Nested within your beating chest

To reside forevermore

All I have, these hollow ribs

Where a heart has never known such freedom

Caged and withered

I will remember

For your mark is forever bound

          Within my skin

Feverishly-written n' fiercely beloved in its sentiments! My favorite line is "My heart's entertwined fatally/With your own"...I love the use of the word "fatally" there! EXQUISITE!! ㋡
