It only lasted for a moment
That feeling of love
And contentment

It only lasted for a second
That feeling of comfort
The feeling of peace

We were only in love for a moment
So fleeting
But so real

Puppy love
Indeed
The most innocent kind

We gave our heart to each other
Only for a moment
But I never wanted it to end

Pain was caused
Tears were spilled
Hearts were broken

But I wouldn't trade
That single moment
That you and I had

That moment may be gone now
But never forgotten
