To feel something

Sometimes I sit in silence
On top of a large hill
That overlooks the valley
Where I live and will forever stay

And as I sit on that hill
I wonder
Have I lost hope?
In not just one thing but in all things

Lost hope
That someone will see past my weight
And love me for who I am
Lost hope
That someday i'll feel something

I have lost all feeling
All emotion
Everything
I simply don't and can't feel anymore

I don't know why
I don't understand it
I can't explain
And I might not even try if I could

I don't feel pleasure
I don't feel pain
I don't feel excitement
I don't feel lonliness

I simply don't feel anymore
I can't tell you why
Or when
Or how it happened

I just don't....

So as I sit on that large hill
Looking over the lights of the valley
I pray
That someday i'll know what's it's like

To feel...something....

I understand how much pain it feels, I'd felt that too, in a different way, now. Never give up, just because people don't love you for who you're, that doesn't mean you don't have a beautiful soul. Its worst to lost feeling, to feel so empty, worst than pain, but you need to fill the shell with emotions you wanna to feel. Love, happiness, get something to read or listen to the music. People who can't look past your weight is a fool, if they love someone for their outlook, they're jerks.

ah, but your poetry belies your proclamation. from what i am reading here you do feel, and very, very deeply. one does not look at the physical characteristics in a person with whom they are consumed in love. when love finds you, those things will not matter.
this is a beautifully written and deep reaching piece of poetry which shines like a beacon to all who would dream of that one true love and you have , in this, demonstrated your capacity for love, masterfully and without reservation.

I have been here my friend, sitting at a beach and watching the waves. Waiting to feel but there was emptiness at the time. As life goes by our feelings begin again and there are new discoveries to find. Good poem.

First of all this song is one of my all time favorites, it's really amazing and realistic.
Your poem touched the bottom of my heart, these feelings are common between many many people, it is very hard and rare to find somebody who cares about you and loves you so deeply for who you are, but the key is always to love and cherish yourself and to hang on there because life gets better, the sun always shines after a while of darkness and people will come in and out of your life the most important relationship is the one with yourself, i feel the way you described in an amazing way a lot recently, i can totally relate to this poem, you did an amazing job my friend.
