The kitchen sink

The kitchen sink

A Poem by Sally Edwards
"

Quick and quirky, a fun poem

"

It's that shiny sink again
Washing up is such a pain
It just keeps driving me insane
Oh look that went down the drain

That shiny sink is blocked
plumbers from all around flocked
10 minutes and it's unblocked
And here's the bill that shocked

Bathe the baby in the sink
Looks so cute and pretty in pink
Stop the baby getting a drink
Let that water out the sink

Look at the kitchen sink so full
Find the plug and pull
There that's better no longer full
Once again the sink is cool.

LMAO! That was really cute writing you got there. OK, whose turn to do the dishes this time? :P

Anyway, it's pretty funny, but good, so no worries...

This one is kinda weird for me. But you did a good job with it. You are truly gifted to be able to write a poem about the happenings of a kitchen sink.

The sink
It thinks
Sweet baby butt
Not that rotten stuff
Deliver me still
From the swill
I've have my fill !!

:) You brought 'life' to such a cold object ... talent! The humor was thoroughly enjoyed and related to!
May your kitchen sink be a 'gathering place' where laughter, suds and dirty dishes find their way to happy times!

Loved this funny but true poem. As mothers, wives and the so on, we're all chained to the sink in one way or another. Good read.

A literal intrepretation of my "Kitchen
Sink" contest.

I'm honored that you entered and that you took me to task on the subject matter.

I used to keep a duck in my sink but the constant peep, peep, peep made me give him away! Great little funny poem! Really a smiler-picker-upper! Loved it!
