Aquamarine

Aquamarine

A Poem by SamanthaGalli

I feel like nothing has meaning anymore.

I travel 20 miles to the shore to watch aqua waves roll in.

I do it to feel peace but it only brings pain.

With every wave that crashes, the more empty I feel.

Listless eyes, weak bones, shattered heart, and a barren mind.

The waves are just a reminder that I am torn apart inside.

Being alone is finally getting to me, climbing its way into my soul.

I love the ocean. A place to gather our thoughts.
"The waves are just a reminder that I am torn apart inside.
Being alone is finally getting to me, climbing its way into my soul. "
The above lines are true. The ocean can heal us and teach us. We can be okay. Thank you Samantha for sharing the excellent poetry.

Deep, and powerful. Sad comes in waves so using the ocean imagery was well done. Beautifully written. Hard on the heart.

"With every wave that crashes, the more empty I feel" this line really struck to me... I can feel how lonely it feels to be in a situation like that... "listless eyes, weak bones, shattered heart and a barren mind" reflects the the true pain and loneliness of the Poet's heart... Sometimes loneliness feels more heartbreaking in the places of serenity... Excellent work...

Sincerely
Dhiman
