Threadbare

Threadbare

A Poem by Sam Dean
"

11-8-15

"
It was 2am, our demons were out,
and I was screaming at you to love yourself.
I slammed every door, slapped every surface until my hands bled,
until I tasted iron with the salt;
I punched a hole through the wall that night,
That night,
I shouted myself hoarse about the way your eyes light up when you laugh.
I tore myself to pieces so you might find the one you need to mend yourself,
I kicked and screamed until I thought the neighbors might call the cops,
I died for you a thousand times that night,
and you just looked at me with eyes that were trying their best not to be there.
The next morning I woke up tucked in and stitched together,
but you were threadbare and silent as ever.

WOW
great use of words indeed, I love the way you express your feelings, not afraid to rage and destroy everything in your way just to hear the simple word "LOVE"

Great job indeed, keep it up
try to split the lines to make it as a poem, to the readers its just like a short story.
breaking the lines will make the rhyme emerges better.

see ya
