just like that she came

just like that she came

A Poem by Shaik

JUST LIKE THAT SHE CAME

Expected yet unexpected
Like i knew the city lights were to shine tonight but where had i imagined they would look this beautiful

Just like that she came
Just like that she came

Snowflakes landed on delicate lashes. But how ? when i stood in a desert ?

Just like that she came
Just like that she came

The sky had touched the Earth and the sun had loved the moon before the return of a silent standstill

Just like that she came
Just like that she came

Distant roads remained untouched but an all too fast heartbeat indicated i had seen the world.

Just like that she came
Just like that she came

Like the impossibility of a raindrop starting a fire

Just like that she came
Just like that she came

With tangled tresses and the everlasting echos of beautiful laughter
With immortality to the rose of her cheeks and the brown of her eyes
With comparison to that of a petal, let me describe her skin
With comparison to that of the depth of the sea, let me describe her mind
With comparison to that of the heavens, let me describe her smile
With comparison to that of words unfound, let me entirely describe her

Just like that she came
Just like that she came

As if i stood still while the world fell apart
but instead the world stood still while i fell apart

And just like that she went
And just like that she went

This poem is beautiful. It lit me up as I started to read, it is unfortunate it has a sad end. It's as if so much has happened in an instant.
