Places..Of The Heart/By Sami Khalil

A sad romance poem.

There lie...Places of the heart

Where orphaned words live domestic lives.

Neither fine fettles nor sacred texts dwell, except in postponed tomorrows.

Chaotic, perhaps, but the fleeting scenes

Are skillfully scripted among desultory

 apprehensions and frailty of echoes.

Intact, perhaps, but enough miswords can carry lovers’ diction down

The road of doltish broken heartedness, providing their own translations.

There lie…places of the heart

Where critics puzzle over the avant-garde of our blueness separations

 and recognitions of cherished memories.

Where strangers sleep through introductions and amble down the river banks of silence.

There, “being” is a mere concept exploring the voiced firsts of exhibits and undulations of images.

There lie…My heart and my fugitive soul

Waiting for you…My love!

Sad romance, indeed... a sigh-worthy poem, Sami. I also really like the second image, that not-exactly-broken, but still pretty cracked heart - goes well with your words.

A lovely poem, written with such delicacy.

I love this imagery the most: "the river banks of silence".

dear Sami, Lovely that your fugitive soul
waits for a kindred soul when blending of
love and passion paints a scene of warmth
and beauty. truly, Pat

There are many layers to this Sami, as always an amazing write,
you put on your best talent in this, and it showed greatly.

The layers of sadness spiraling downward, metaphors that hug the edges of darkness, love gone out the backdoor of yesterday.

What a write......Sami!

What a nice one by you. I love your choice of words, especially "orphaned words". Somehow I feel this poem paints or creates more of a picture (like a real piece of art, painting) than it remains a mere piece of literature. Might sound weird or my mind is just distracted and influenced by the pictures you added to this writing.
I enjoyed reading even though it's a rather sad topic...

Your poem seems like a painting board of a skilled artist. Good one like always.

A force of conundrums and liberation...not necessarily in that order and with an overriding patience and yearning...the metaphor profound as always, awesome Sami :)
