Notes Of Love

Deep love thoughts

Notes Of Love/Sami Khalil

These words are thoughts, which blossom within my heart,

are also the roses left for you to pick and keep.

I have realized that we never appreciate the seasons of our lives

until it dawns on us that they have escaped our grasp;

For all things have fragility in life, except true love,

it grows stronger by time’s passing.

And all things are mortal, but if I have to live indefinitely,

I would live in a dream which would connect your soul

to mine, without the chaos of our world.

I have rejected all yesteryear's for you longing

and hoping for a future dream together.

I also have hoped that in the wee hours,

your illuminated shadow,

will overcome my darkness with a sunrise.

Even if the sun sets over its lonely hill

giving way to a black coal sky,

you can still see the dreamer in me.

And if we are afraid to show this love know that light

will dissipate any darkness or fear.

For this silent love of mine might go unnoticed

but it will always bring a surprise to light.

I have concluded that all things have secrets

except a shared heart,

it whispers love phrases in the open.

I also have found out that it takes a soft breath

to start a fire, just as you started an invisible one within.

And if it takes ink to write love letters, I would rather write

them with my blood flow.

And if I bleed to death, I know that death can change

the mortal moments but not our eternity.

Well I am a curious guy always out there reading all sorts of writes. So today I end up visiting your page. And it was a delight. I always read an initial work of a writer to begin with. ^^ First thoughts on the poem itself. I love the structure and the flow that is maintained throughout the poem is superb. Credit goes to the fine vocabulary you have displayed here. I must also add that they a good job in invoking vivid imagery. This write packed quite the punch. I loved the tone that changes ever so slightly in intervals as the poem proceeds further down. You have expressed a lot of phases and the end had definitely is one I would call fitting. People have already expressed and interpreted about the write here. I understand it as well. Just thought I would share my views on how the flow and tones felt to me as I read it. ^^ Thank you for sharing ^^

A change for you - simpler more direct language. Yet you continue to express yourself clearly and well. Nicely done.

Once again you have produced a masterpiece lol. True love I hope it exists. When you talk about writing the letters with the blood until it runs out, well that is powerful. Great job.

This is amazing. "For I have rejected all yesteryears for you, longing and hoping for a future dream together." I'm sure falling in love is as beautiful as you've made me feel here it is.

Oh, this is so romantic, Sami. The words...are so captivating.

Wish those come from my loved one. And if those words were the petals of roses drown in the deepest part of the sea, I would rather learn diving to pick all of them and to keep them forever.

I like this very much. Another favorite piece from you. Thanks for this.

Deeply felt and beautifully worded Sami. You are a romantic and truly a dreamer.

My favorite lines:
I also had hoped that in the wee hours, your illuminated shadow will overcome my darkness with a sunrise.

I concluded that all things have secrets, except a shared heart, it whispers love phrases in the open.

I would live in a dream, which would connect your soul to mine, without the chaos of our world. (Now here I diverged from your poem. I think the dream is the connection held and bound even within the chaos of the world that seeks to pull it asunder. And the dreamer can hold tight to that vision.)

Fabulous as always.
