Angel Pangel

Angel Pangel

A Poem by Sammypookins

A bleak road

This journey that you take

But although you walk alone

We will travel in your wake

The pain is yours alone

To live through and to bear

But although you walk alone

Close behind you we are there

You may falter, you may fade

Your body falling weak

But although you walk alone

If you fall silent we will speak

We will hold you upon high

We will bear you on your way

For although we love you so

We sadly know you cannot stay

So we walk a step behind

In our sadness, in our grief

Knowing peace is all you want

Dreading death will bring that peace

I like it. For some reason it reminds me of Michael Jacksons death, how we always followed him, but never really understood or felt his pain, and the only way he could find peace was to escape this world.

Nicely written. Thanks for sharing!

Ahhh Samuel.... this is great. This is exactly why your poetry is so much better than mine. The Missus read it too and loved it. Nice work indeed, heartfelt and harrowing. This seems to be completely from the heart. Good work mate - Howie ;)
