You And Yours Ways Bewitching

You And Yours Ways Bewitching

A Poem by Sam

You and yours, ways bewitching

Strike at me with song

Mutedly says unspeaking

And romantically lifelong

The dawn you bear

Your sun and warmth a-feather

Of duskly ruins debonair

And crystalline moony heather

Cherished are ye, Jezebel,

You charming divine courtesan

Seductress, siren, femme fatale

Disvirtuous lying artisan

Lulling me to Scylla

Or Charybdis just a-space

Tied up in your mantilla

‘Tween a rock and hard place.
