The heart wants what it can't have....

The heart wants what it can't have....

A Poem by Simone

Vanished...
Like a theft in the night
The only thing missing was my heart
You stole it
Without any permission
or warnings
It was gone
I really thought you were the one
How you  told me you loved me
so sincerely
I craved for your touch
Your husky deep voice
and your eyes that could
melt my heart
with one glance
I missed it
Maybe i'm not mad you
stole my heart
I'm mad I can't have yours...

The hurt and frustration come across very powerfully in this one, but I'm having difficulty with one part: "I craved for your touch/ Your husky deep voice/ and your eyes that could/ my heart/ with one glance". Could what?

Thank you so much for catching that. It should've read " that could melt my heart" .
