You

You

A Poem by Sandipan Majhi

Confused as you are,
Depressed as I am,
Pushed you too far,
In the night-fall of gem.

Why do I feel, you are mine?
Why do I smile, when he cries?

Expressions deep inside,
Still rambling outside.
Did I not know it?

You were red,
I was blue,
Scream, I said,
And passions flew.

Dreams haunt me.
An invisible death,
Uneasy, rhythms of breath,
I say,
Pin me down.
Show me that face,
As souls race,
Into the reds.

Wonderful, you are,
Never ending desire.
What's that you sell?
All seem so, pale.

So lonely you are,
With chronicles so far,
As one bluntly smiles,
To sunshine reaching eyes.
