Time, it curses us all. But with a little imagination, dreams may grow.

Anathema of time

By Alasse Fefalas

Time moves forward
60 mins per hour.

Imagine if time could stand still,
stop, rewind and forward.

To weave through time,
a feat, a feat!

But as if we are nothing
but ghosts of ourselves
trapped in the present.

Take nothing
but memories -
Lessons learnt.

Look forward
to the future -
ever so coming.

Change
everything -
in the present.

So imagine
if you will.

Mistakes reviewed
in a different light.

History
never rearing its ugly head.

But alas,
the future can only unfold in time -
in view of the path we choose to take.

For that
is the curse
of time itself.

Alasse Fefalas
I wrote this not as a poem actually, but as a concept for a competition, so it may seem a little far fetched.
