the sweet stillness between us

the sweet stillness between us

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

I see that i have found you
in this tender in-between. in this
gentle grace / this sacred space
between us.

I have abdicated control, but not
this burgeoning responsibility
to shape my life
with love.

I see promises in your eyes
but can barely trust the ones
in the mirror.

I'd ask you to hold me,
but I may just fall apart
in your arms.

I am stronger than I seem
and weaker than
you can
imagine.

So if I reach for your hand
in the stillness,
don't break the silence
with anything but
something
sweet.

Hi
Endearing, delicate, and well balanced with the "I am stronger than I seem". Thanks.

This is a very gentle poem, letting another know your weakness and strength. Good diction and syntax. I enjoyed reading!
