metal boats are bound to sink

metal boats are bound to sink

A Poem by sara
"

teenage angst...how shocking.

"

Slash
at the wrists
like a frustrated artist
would slash at his soiled canvas

See those red rivulets
pour down the sides
like a river
cascades down a waterfall

And suddenly
Im not here
anymore

Suddenly Im sailing
on my red man made river
in a grand boat
in a majestic boat
made of swiss army knife blades
and safety pins
shining brilliantly in the sunshine
and reflecting the deep rusty rose colour
of the wildly free waves.

And I breathe in deeply
content

And as I breathe
as the cool wind
rushes softly at my face
the salty, rusty smell
(of blood and of releif)
flows into my body
and fills me up

And as my eyes open
And as my silver deck (the showoff) glints and gleams
And as my rose red river
crashes around
I spot land
I spot the solid ground

And subconsciously I begin to wonder
If reaching it is possible...
Or not.

I had to read because your description gave me a sardonic laugh.

I have to say you are very talented, I wish you weren't writing this emo slasher stuff - you've got too much skill.
