A Poem by Sarah Jaymes

Lazy sofas and cigarettes, I knew we were going down

Hazy days felt no regret; I thought we had it all

But who’s to say, this feeling might never change

If I gave you up, well im afraid.

Stumbling to the stars, we laid back in your car

The top down with a clear view, but I could only see you

Tell me you feel it too

Boomerangs and steady beats, I knew we were going down

Tongue tied and photography, I thought we had it all

But who’s to say, this feeling might never change

If I gave you up, well im afraid..

Stumbling to the stars, we laid back in your car

The top down with a clear view, but I could only see you

Tell me you feel it too

Walk to the streets to feel anything

Walk to the streets to feel complete

We walk the streets to feed our energy

We walked the streets in a fine frenzy

I knew we were going down

Down, down, down…

Impressive... not sure if you meant it as a song, but there's a definite melody here that I'd love to have set to music. Worth reading a time or two more, so it's off to my favorites, nicely done...

A very strong write Sarah,
made me think of the old
days when things were so
much simpler...When we
thought we knew it all.
well done...
