Sonnet 3

Sonnet 3

A Poem by The Adventure
"

2 March 2010

"

Your hair shines golden as the suns bright rays.

Your skin's bright under fluorescent light.

Your eyes, they pierce with a heavenly gaze,

Yet all this beauty is not within my sight.

"he's out of your small league," some may just say,

And that I won't ever have a small chance.

So I keep all of my feelings at bay,

And leave everything else to happenstance.

So now will I forget your lasting hugs.

your lovely cologne wafting through the air.

your sometimes crude, but also funny jokes.

The way you used to play with my long hair.

So never will I ever think again

To call you anything more than a friend.
