Lovely Monster

Lovely Monster

A Poem by

Sh, quiet your voice,
or you'll wake up his soul.
And you'll hear the beat of his heart,
Faster and faster as it races forward.
Don't move any closer,
or you'll see his face.
It pulls you in,
like a violent hurricane.

Are you quiet now?
Can you hear the hush?
Of that distant breath,
and that rhythmic tap?
Listen intently,
and you'll find the song.
The song that brings up a memory,
you tried so hard to ignore.

Oh no, you woke him up.
But, maybe he'll fall back asleep.
Hurry up,
and sing the lullaby.
The song played by the strings of heart.
Pull each note carefully,
did I tell you not?
You must be singing now,
his eyelids are shut.
Now quiet your singing voice,
so we can rejoice..

Exquisite! I applaud you for your amazing imagery and yout poem left me in a sense of dark magic and fragile wonder.
The song played by the strings of heart.
"Pull each note carefully,

You must be singing now,
his eyelids are shut.
Now quiet your singing voice,
so we can rejoice.."
Well Done Twinkle!
