little prayer

little prayer

A Poem by Rebeca Espadas

if i could only love myself

enough to look up the mirror and smile

so i could believe what others see in me and admire.

please god;

i'm penniless for throwing in magic fountains asking for love,

not for any kind of love,

i don't want a prince charming to tell me everyday a lie

that will hurt this empty soul

i want to love myself, i want to be in love.
