Fragile Insect WingsA Poem by Maxinne MarieFragile insect wings flicker underneath stray silver moonbeams amidst the horror of this black twilight. My only solace is the memory of the melodies he once played for me, fingers running through black and ivory. Fragile insect wings cascade symphonies of dark, silent death. Shall I be rescued from this tragic fate? Only his music can ever defeat this melancholy. July 20, 2007 © Maxinne Marie © 2008 Maxinne Marie |
