Benevolence Cost Me You

Benevolence Cost Me You

A Poem by vindictivesunshine

I've fallen and now i'm bleeding plasma and cytoplasm.
I'm an innocent bystander to your unprovoked rage,
and grotesque performance.
Who thought in my microcosmic existence I would feel your insanity?

Just like a kid tracing lines in a favourite colouring book,
You traced me and the others into oblivion.
But in my state of telling you "I love you",
the stone gets colder and the hospital's out of stitches.
Thinking about it, I should have let you take those pills

A very creative poem. Yet a very sad and broken theme.

a unique & creative poem. i like the mystery of it, how you don't explain it in plain words, it lets the reader think for themselves. "I've fallen and now i'm bleeding plasma and cytoplasm". a very intriguing way to describe it. i love it. very well written.
