one tiger to a hill

one tiger to a hill

A Poem by schanzilla

dig it

like standing with you

barefoot in the meadow

like i was barely awake and

you hadn't disappeared yet

when your ice melted

saw my reflection in the puddle

saw your hesitant smile

expand as the midwestern sunrises tend to do

picture me tranquil

straight line turned wavy with the rhythm of your step step

picture me imprinted on your lower lip

like that swan dive feeling

a soft wind simply for the caress

my pencil thin exterior

shaded in tentatively

your tappy tappy fingertips

hypnotic as the night sounds

the cricket chirps insistent, subsequently

i remember singing Vandals songs the

entire drive home from Astoria

and how i

thought i could destroy all the bad guys

as it turned out

not quite

I love the softness of this one. A bit different and touches a deep place in the heart. I am a sucker for bittersweet.
