A Smile Eases The Pain

A Poem written on December 13, 2013

A smile eases the pain, although loneliness is an emotion that I can't restrain. My dreams makes me sad, because I wake up, brutal reality stabs me in the back. I feel left alone, except I have family that I have forever known. So I smile through my sighs, and spread happiness as if I am always feeling alive. When deep down I can't see, for I feel lonely, lost, and blind with no one by my side.
