God Is Not Dead: He Is Surely Alive

God Is Not Dead: He Is Surely Alive

A Poem by LightforChrist
"

This poem is about how our world often views God in a negative sense and how he tries to break through the barrier we have set up against him only to tell us that he loves us and wants us as his own.

"

  In our very own culture

God is torn up by vultures

 Vultures who despise him

  And choose to deny him

They are sick of his strict rules

And really believe he is a fool

His rules might seem to be strict

But they form us to be like bricks

These rules are made to protect

And hopefully leave a lasting effect

A lasting effect on a misguided generation

That would only choose to come to know him

He will always be there for all of us

And will never leave us in the dust

His precious love will be forever infinite

  And contains many healthy benefits

God desperately wants to be our father

And adopt us as his sons and daughters

We can do nothing to lose this love

That is as pure white as a dove

Even in a world full of unending hate

Where the devil uses his own bait

God is always right by our side

And his name we can not hide

I first came up with the idea to write this poem from listening to the song, God's Not Dead by The Newsboys. I hope you guys enjoy it and comments and input are welcome. :)
