Rain Song

Rain Song

A Poem by Kimtomcat13

The Rain Song

Sitting under this tree,
Waiting out this storm.
Maybe lightning will strike the ground,
And numbing will obliterate everything that's wrong.

Is there such a thing as, accidental suicide by rain?

Raindrops trickle down my cheek,
Just as tears begin to flow.
My lonely tears are washed away,
As if someone out there knows...

That, accidental suicide by rain is not the way to go.

It's like the heavens feel my pain.
Oh, Lord! The sky is crying rain.
I close my eyes, try to not breathe,
And my heart begins to throb.

From my, accidental suicide by rain.

Suddenly you're there beside me,
Telling me it will be all right.
I hold on tight, as the sky turns blue again.
There'll be no accidental suicide by rain,
...

Tonight.

A little cryptic Kim... no offense! But good writing non-the-less.
