A Poem by S. COVEY

I can swim
but for you I drown,
choke.
drifting away you found me.
before you brought me back to life,
I saw the light
and it’s all darkness.
the only God is the one I am screaming for
when you touch me.
love used to be trivial.
but now all the songs make sense.
reality has a way of being miserable.
so far
but so close.
words fill my ears -
all your dirty little secrets.
including the one when I saw everything.
I traveled through time
and you were there.
it’s repeated in a whisper,
but as loud as the world.

It really is amazing what a feeling of love can bring out us. So much creativity. Thank you!

Is it crazy I want my heart broken because some of my best writing comes from that deep hole of hurt?
I say this because that is the way I interpret, "subject." However, this piece screams of being in the beginning of a topsy- turvy, bite my heart love affair.

I can swim
but for you I drown,----this is such a superb opening line!!!

Thanks for the read
