I remember the day we all ran away

I remember the day
That we all ran away
Thinking we'd be okay
You led up front while I was held back
After that day
You never looked back
No you never looked back

Yeah you ran off to do all the things you could do
And I was left chasin the ghost of you
When I got lost in a fog
And let myself be bogged down

But you, you just went and ran around
To higher ground in some southern town
Where the sun was heavy and turned your eyes brown

While I hunkered down and thought
I could have my cake and eat it too
That just wasn't true
Not that it mattered to you

You left me behind to fight for your heart and stand for your soul
Yeah you left me to swallow that bitter pill whole
While you went and found your secret dreams
And did pretty well in that regard
Or so it seems

But me?
Well I hate my job and killing my time
To me it's worth more'n their nickels and dimes
But these pockets are full of bills and cards
These times they sure are a gettin' hard

But it doesn't seem fair
To say that you never cared
For now I know
That people change and they grow
Much as I'd sometimes like to say it ain't so

And these days whenever tomorrow's got me worried
Or I'm feeling like I'm in too much of a hurry
Well, I just look at our old photographs and to myself I say

I remember the day
That we all ran away
Thinking we'd be okay

My favorite part was the second stanza
Yeah you ran off to do all the things you could do
And I was left chasin the ghost of you
When I got lost in a fog
And let myself be bogged down
This stanza feels like a story will be told. There's bitterness, complaining, wistfulness, and forgiveness, all here in these stanzas. What music?
