Humility in the Vase

Humility in the Vase

A Poem by realmwriter

Have no ego where to write
But where pride is laid aside
Ego burns true and bright

Have no power where to pray
But where laid this vanity aside
Feet are humble where they stay

Have no right where there is wrong
But where the head is laid aside
A whisper slow and soft to song
A melody to charm sleep from the sandman
An utterance to quiet the troubled child
A warm, caring touch to comfort the soul
Peace in the eye of the hurricane
Power in the humility of a babe
Prejudice in pride of man
In the fury of the fire, we find ourselves humbled, on our knees

In the world of Poetry it is frankly stupid - how close the word egoistic and egoism are. I'm sure that some will justify even "Oh, Rene stop being such a (nerd) " as it is used colloquially. That is absolute nonsense! The fact that out of colloquiallism in the United Staes all shopping attendants say to you "have a nice day " it doesn't mean they actually mean it or they care. So what is at stake in this writing? The fine line which is placed upon the scales. On one side we have that "one" which thinks about himself (generically used here) so much that's all he/she portrays. Things begin and end there in his own thoughs. The other is the ability to recognize that without a certain understanding of yourself you cannot reach through tothe other, to die on the other in order to relate. So how do we pass that ignorance. Well some talk about the fire of "love" which selflessness create and hence we transform ignorance into conciousness.

Subtle lines subtle meaning great topic.

Thankyou
