Peace Unveiled

As my eyes long to behold the true face of peace…

I envision a world devoid of hate

with mankind living in a perfect state

of harmony and love

being guided by a force above

far beyond the earth

I see children of the rainbow

walking hand-in-hand

different, yet tranquil

as they understand

God’s perfect will for His created world

tell me now, can you see it?

 

As my ears long to hear the true voice of peace…

I listen for a world filled with laughter

devoid of injustice and the unnatural disasters of racial unrest

as man’s mission and quest

becomes an obsession

to silence the storms of intolerance and division

I hear the weakening of this oppressive condition

as the rains of kindness fall softly on the windows of acceptance

tell me now, can you hear it?

 

As my heart long to feel the true beat of peace

it yearns to experience joy unspeakable

at the universal bonding of all God’s people

regardless of race

prejudice and bias shall not have a place

in all the earth

and a cloud of calm shall form in the hearts of men

replacing the hurt that has been inflicted

tell me now, can you feel it?

 

Let change arise, may its opposers be scattered

let healing reign and the harvest of brotherhood gathered

from the four corners of the earth

let man undergo a rebirth

the dawn of new day of

peace and morality

where the sun lights with rays of unity

the moon glows casting shadows of serenity

skies filled with gliding doves of peace

bringing quiet….

to a world full of thunder
