The Last Days Of Man

The Last Days Of Man

A Poem by Sean Gorley
"

A strange and very vivid dream I had.

"

When it happened, it was sudden and without warning. The sun ceased to shine and the moon was no longer in the sky. And then there was a lasting darkness and the earth was enveloped. And from the depth of hell arose a host such as man has never seen before and their cries rose up to the heavens but were heard not for even the heavens had fallen before the shadow her vast halls silent her mighty host gone. And such was the last days of man.  When the darkness came and death walked amongst the living and harvested them as a farmer harvests his fields.

A good piece of nano-fiction!
That last sentence is 'dead' right in the images it conveys of the horror that unfolds.
