Blind

Blind

A Poem by Sean Gorley
"

For my son who was born blind.

"

What is sight?
Is it only the ability to look at the world around us?
If so, then we are all lost.
For the eyes of the blind see farther and truer than any of use.
We look at the clothes or the looks of a person to decide if they are good or bad and most often never look any deeper.
But those who cannot see with their eyes, look with their hearts and are not jaded by the world around them.
So perhaps it’s really we who are blind.
