A Poem by Ariel
"

One of my strangest poems to date.

"
The tired nights seem all the longer as
I stroll sickly down Memory Lane,
Watching fitfully as alley cats and territorial
Bull dogs tear each other limb-from-limb.

The moon is dwindling and spinndling as my mind is
Falling quickly and steadily apart at the seams.
My heart is wandering and waltzing upon a
Stale and cracking paper-mache skylark.

"What is the meaning of life?" A broken oak croaks,
My hands, for all the better, are pumped full of painted
Veils which fill my dizzy mind with rotten eggs and
Bitter, clockwork-like, lost-in-outerspace memories.

My thoughts usually, if not always, defy the loneliness
Of deaths.  My feet are rendered senseless by the
Bickering, slickening, nicking hail storms.
"Where am I?" A puddle muddles through the din.

"No where", my mind echoes slyly with a slow-witted smile.
No where of interest.  We're all
Floating like empty jets through wavering skies.
Some day the world will slide down a rainbow.

Now I bid you adieu.
