Why am I here

Why am I here

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

Why am i here
What did i do to get here?

Why am I here?
How could you have done this to me?

Why am i here
Standing here, watching you and your mother

Why am I here
If i couldn't ever have such a perfect family

Why am I here
what was my purpose for being alone on this cold rock

Why am I here?
for you to toy with; never letting go of the strings you pull

Why?
Why is my heart not whole like it should be?

Why am I here
To suffer loss, To gain nothing but life?

Why am I here,
standing on the cliff of madness

Why am i here?
for these sharks do not want me......

Why am i really here?

This is very deep. I love the analogy that you use with the sharks and cliff of madness. I can feel the passion that was put into this for sure. I love when people just let whatever is in their mind (especially when its a series of questions like this) come forth. thats when i think people write some of their best material. this has a very good flow to it. nice, i like it!

Again this goes much deeper than just being a poem. I hope you got the help you needed and are no longer suffering.

Thanks for sharing.

It is easy to look at others and want the good things you think they have or the good things they portray to have, but behind the scenes they are looking at your positve traits and asking themselves the same thing. That's what I take from this.

I love your use of questions...it's like the reader is inside your head, listening to your train of thought. I really liked it...love the line "standing on the cliff of madness"...it's brilliant. You explore such confusing and damaging emotions with ease...great write :)

I enjoyed the questions of the heart. Why is anyone here? Who really knows, great write to ponder on.

I have been in a situation where I was disliked by a family. Made me stay longer with the woman. Some family are hard to break into. Make us not want to associate with. A very good poem. Sometime we must smile and move on. It is their lost not to know you.

I think we've all asked ourselves the same questions. Why am I here, what is my purpose... etc etc. I think this piece shows the confusions we've all felt wonderfully well. Great write!

As dimly as it seems we are all here for a purpose,
what that purpose is makes us second guess ourselves.
Between the the dark and the light it's up to us to
choose how our life plays out...We can make it better
or worse...

awesome existential inquiry with an emphasis on individuality. good matchup. i like the convention of the questions. obviously full of emotion, typically your style, but definitely a few nuances that make it pop a little bit. i like it.
