hearts

hearts

A Poem by Misty Blue Eyes

Heart  wings flutter wildly

Huddled tightly

Afraid to be chosen

The fragileness of them

Scared of the dark

The shadows of hurt

The screams of pain

Thunderous sounds

make the hearts jump

fleeing from their hold

Dancing in the warmth

of the fire that rises and falls

sparks hit them in the middle

making the hearts flutter with a glow

So creative...i really love the first stanza. I can really feel it. Our hearts are afraid of letting go and getting hurt, crushed because they are so fragile...but ultimately fly out and take that chance to be "Dancing in the warmth"...really great write.

The heart is a part of us we won't ever understand. Make us want to dance in the heat of a love. Can blind us in sadness too. Your poem is beautiful. I like the description and the ending. A excellent poem.
