A Train of Thought

A Train of Thought

A Poem by Michael G. Smith
"

Another poem about poetry.

"

Days are conversations languor

In seasons I gather them

As travelers do

On platforms of life

beneath unwritten thoughts rolling off

As stillness wheels within

This is where I live

Among words in Alpha's love

Poetry an Iron horse

Where I ramble on

Pages of life writes the course

Across the rails

A stir of echoes in each click

A passenger overdue

Always on his journey back

With ideas in baggage

 Some scatter in winds

Others in soot pure black

As parchments turn

Like trains of thought around the track

It's stains the air with smiles

Drains the fear through condensation

And lastly aural laughter

Images appear of new frontiers

Leaving behind steam trailed years

And in eye of mind

A vision of souls

I see them read future titles

To turn much further

Than one more page...

As penned poetry touches days
