Dust Bunny Thoughts

Dust Bunny Thoughts

A Poem by Michael G. Smith
"

...

"

Quiet isn't the best place

With my thoughts I should be

For they ramble on and on

About nothing

Yada yada gossip and

More and more about insecurities

Then when the noise comes back

It's way too late for any hope of rescue

I am already focusing in on them

Believing as days recycle

Regurgitate begin and end

Never rid of those damn dust bunnies

I feel this is something most people could relate to - I certainly do.
Often in the silence of night when trying to sleep I'll be kept up by my thoughts - dust bunnies running around - going on and on about nothing and everything...

Nice poem!
